Died: Brazil, Belo Horizonte, MG, 1954

Vale was a Brazilian violinist, composer, and a major researcher on Brazilian folk music. His primary profession was a lawyer, but he also taught music history at the Conservatório Mineiro de Música. Inspired by Paganini, he composed an album of 26 Preludes for solo violin in a Brazilian landscape style.
